RTP combines the benefits of PLC and DCS in an ideal way, offers open architecture, fast data processing, and redundancy.
Fast and reliable I/Os for measured data acquisition
are the basis of all RTP systems, which have been particularly successful in power plants, chemical and pharmaceutical plants and testing facilities. The cards can be used for micro-systems
(RTP 3000M/3100M) and up to quadruple redundant systems alike. The connection among chassis is realized via Ethernet technology with a powerful network switch, such as N-TRON.
RTP NetSuite software is used for the configuration. Peer-to-peer communication is possible with all RTP micro-systems and RTP 3x00 systems. All devices include extended-range power supply and CPU’s with redundant Ethernet.
RTP 3000 architecture
The system configuration shows 3000-Q, -T, -D and –S series functional units. They can each extend to 16 chassis (18 cards, 10,000 I/Os). In this way, every desired redundancy level and SIL level, adapted to the application, is achieved.
In detail:
- (A) 3000-Q SIL-3 system with 4 processors distributed in 4 separate chassis
- (B) 3000-Q SIL-3 system with 4 processors in a single chassis, with 2 power supply units
- (C) 3000-T SIL-3 system with 3 processors in a single chassis, with 2 power supply units
- (D) 3000-D SIL-3/3100-D system with 2 processors in a single chassis, with 2 power supply units
- (E) 3000-S SIL-2/3100-S system with a single processor
- (F) 3000-M SIL-2/3100-M stand-alone system with processor for max. 5 I/O cards
